Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Bright Sprouts ("the app"). Bright Sprouts is owned and operated by LAURINGSON LLC. By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Bright Sprouts is a toddler learning application for children ages 1–4. The app provides image recognition and vocabulary games using built-in game packs and user-created content. The app is intended for use by children under direct parental supervision.

2. Subscriptions

Free Tier

The free version includes access to 6 game packs and the ability to create 1 custom game with up to 4 tiles.

Premium Subscription

• Monthly: $4.99/month
• Yearly: $47.99/year

Premium unlocks all 14 game packs, unlimited custom games, up to 9 tiles per game, and the ability to share and import custom game packs with other Premium parents. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID or Google Play account and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions (iOS) or Play Store > Subscriptions (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

3. User-Created and Shared Content

You retain full ownership of all photos, voice recordings, and game packs you create within the app. By using cloud sync or the pack-sharing feature (Premium), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, scan for prohibited content (see Section 5), and deliver this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and to recipients you choose to share with.

Pack Sharing (Premium)

Premium users can generate share links for their custom game packs. When you share a pack:

• You are solely responsible for the content (images, audio, text labels) in packs you share.
• Anyone who receives your share link can view a preview of the pack before importing it.
• Only Premium users can import and play shared packs.
• You can revoke a share link at any time from Parent Controls → My Shared Packs. Parents who have already imported the pack retain their copy until they remove it or you permanently delete your account.
• If you delete your account, all pack images and audio you uploaded are permanently deleted. Parents who imported your packs may see them stop working as a result.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload or share any content (images, audio, text) that is obscene, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, contains personal information of a third party, or is otherwise inappropriate for young children
• Use the pack-sharing feature to distribute advertising, solicitations, spam, or promotional material
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

5. Content Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking

Because Bright Sprouts is used by young children, we apply strict standards to user-shared content:

• Automated filtering: all tile images and cover images in shared packs are automatically scanned using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch before the pack becomes available to recipients. Packs that are flagged as containing adult, violent, or otherwise unsafe content are revoked automatically and are not distributed.
• Reporting: any user who encounters a shared pack they believe violates these Terms can report it directly from the pack preview screen. We review all reports and aim to respond within 24 hours.
• Blocking: you can block any creator from the pack preview screen. After blocking, you will not see any packs shared by that creator. You can manage blocks from Parent Controls.
• Account action: we may, at our sole discretion, remove any shared pack and suspend or terminate the account of any user who violates these Terms. We reserve the right to permanently ban users who repeatedly upload prohibited content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content included in the app — built-in game pack images, icons, designs, and code — is the property of LAURINGSON LLC and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from app content. Content you create and share through the app remains your property, subject to the license you grant us in Section 3.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that shared content will always be available. Bright Sprouts is an educational tool and is not a substitute for direct parental interaction and teaching.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAURINGSON LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damages arising from user-shared content.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
